James has been with BDO since 2004, after moving from New Zealand to Far North Queensland. In James’ role as Partner in the Audit & Assurance team, his work consists of external audits of a wide range of entities. James’ main area of expertise however is audits of not-for-profit organisations, including local governments, Indigenous corporations, charities, schools, and sporting clubs. This includes auditing grant acquittals from various State and Federal funding bodies.

James also provides consulting and advisory services to a number of privately owned businesses in Far North Queensland, assisting them with forecasting, financial and management reporting and implementing internal control procedures. James is also responsible for all of BDO Nth QLD’s solicitors trust account audits.
