Investigation, Investigative Interviewing and Conflict Management Training

BDO’s Forensic Services team provides comprehensive and tailored investigation training solutions nationally, across industry sectors.

The training will equip organisations with:

Investigation courses are designed towards our clients’ requirements, being, corporate governance, misconduct or regulatory investigations, or incident investigations. Our investigation and interviewing techniques will equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to conduct effective and efficient investigations.

Investigation Techniques

Our investigation training prepares employees to take charge when conducting misconduct investigations, attending to workplace accidents, or completing compliance work. The course specifically covers investigation procedural fairness and other key rules of evidence, planning and scoping, evidence gathering, and the interviewing of witnesses and respondents.

Investigative Interviewing Techniques

Interviewing techniques training is an intensive workshop designed to enhance individual skills when interviewing witnesses and respondents. The course provides participants with the opportunity to learn best practice techniques used in law enforcement organisations world-wide. With the fundamentals of investigative interviewing, the course will teach interviewing techniques and strategies to equip participants with a consistent and structured approach when interviewing witnesses, respondents, or for their next fact-finding mission.

Conflict Management

Our training includes essential communication techniques that help diminish workplace misunderstandings and conflicts in the workplace. It discusses the importance of Emotional Intelligence and its connection to how we behave and express ourselves to others. It also provides simple but effective techniques when dealing with those difficult customers we sometimes come across.

Training Facilitator

The courses are delivered by Oscar Persichitti, Manager, Forensic Services. Oscar has a strong background stemming from two of the most dynamic and unique organisations - the Australian Army  and West Australian Police. Oscar’s experience includes leading serious and complex criminal investigations concerning organised crime, fraud, sexual assault, and other personal crime offences with WA Police. He was also appointed Manager at Detective Training School, and delivered investigation and interviewing training across the agency and represented WA Police at the 2nd International Conference on Investigative Interviewing at the University of Portsmouth, U.K.

As a Professional Trainer/Consultant, Oscar has delivered investigative training across a variety of industry sectors, including resource sector, government and local government, and was contracted to assist with misconduct investigations within the government sector.
