Government Incentives

Unlock your business’ potential with access to government funding

Government incentives play a critical role in helping Australian businesses innovate, grow, and compete on a global stage. With nearly 3,000 grant programs available annually — representing close to $77 billion in funding, navigating the landscape can be complex, but the opportunities are significant.

These programs are designed to drive economic development by supporting businesses that deliver measurable benefits to Australia’s economy. Whether through job creation, export expansion, or the development of new technologies and capabilities, government funding can provide the financial leverage needed to accelerate strategic initiatives.

Key sectors across Australian commerce and industry, such as food & agribusiness, defence, natural resources & energy, healthcare, medtech and life sciences, mining, renewables and low emissions technologies, and space are regularly targeted for support. For businesses operating in these industries, understanding and accessing the right incentives is essential.

BDO helps businesses identify and secure the most relevant funding opportunities, aligning your strategic goals with government priorities to maximise your potential for success. Our team of specialists is dedicated to helping Australian innovators thrive by accessing valuable tax incentives and grants with our industry connections and extensive experience.

What our clients say

BDO played a critical role in securing our Commercialisation and Growth grant under the Industry Growth Program. As a small company developing innovative powered trailer technology for the heavy transport sector, we faced significant time and resource constraints. BDO provided end-to-end support from navigating the adviser engagement process to preparing a complex and detailed application aligned with regulatory expectations.

Their assistance in guiding and developing our project plan, managing deadlines, and liaising with government assessors allowed us to stay focused on core operations while ensuring a high-quality submission. BDO’s deep understanding of government processes and ability to translate our technical solution into a compelling commercial case made a real difference. Their expertise and professionalism were instrumental in helping us achieve a successful outcome.
